The 6 lines in Human Design

Every gate divides into six lines. When a planet activates a gate, it also activates a line (e.g. 32.5). The line specifies how that gate is expressed: same theme, different way of living it.

In your Body Graph Studio chart, these lines appear on every activation. Your profile keeps only two of them: Personality Sun and Design Sun.

Build before acting. Curiosity digs solid foundations; safety comes from what has truly been understood. Shadow: fear of never knowing enough. Gift: calm expertise and sharing proven facts.

Natural talent and need for withdrawal. The gift often appears when called, not when forced. Respecting space and solitude feeds what comes without a manual.

Trial and error and a pioneer spirit (Martyr / Tester in profile language). What fails is found so what holds can emerge, then be shared. Mistakes are part of learning, not proof of failure.

Bonds and opportunity (Opportunist in profiles). Influence moves through a chosen circle, friendship, and accumulated trust. Investing in the right relationships opens more doors than a forced public stage.

Practical solutions under projection (Heretic in profiles). You are seen as a possible answer. The gift lands better when it was truly asked for; believing you must save everyone drains this energy.

Wisdom in phases: experiment, observe, then embody an example. Long-term vision. A living example inspires more than speech; releasing perfection makes leadership more real.

Your profile is simply two of these six lines: the Personality Sun line, and the Design Sun line.

• Example: a 2/4 profile = line 2 (conscious) + line 4 (unconscious).
• Those two lines describe your overall social costume.
• Other activations (Moon, Mars, etc.) also have a line: they nuance each gate, without changing the profile.

On the bodygraph you see notations like 32.5 (gate 32, line 5). The profile itself only keeps the two Sun lines. Library line pages detail each role outside a specific profile.
