Gate 40 (Deliverance) sits in the Heart Center. It is a gate of denial and solitude: valued for hard work capacity, it still must mark its limits, what it gives and what it expects. The Heart's central theme here is also rest after effort.
Gate 37 (Friendship) softens and loyalizes the tribal bargain. Together they form the Channel of Community (37-40).
