Gate 27 (Nourishment) sits in the Sacral. It carries the drive to preserve and care: family, team, or self. In exaltation, compassion; in dysfunction, self-sacrifice without discernment. As a Sacral gate, it does not know in advance who or what deserves that care without a correct response.
Without Gate 50 (Values), Gate 27 has the drive to care without intuition for healthy limits. Together they form the Channel of Preservation (27-50).
