The 6 lines in Human Design

Each gate divides into six lines. When a planet activates a gate, it also activates a line (for example 32.5). The line is the style of expression for that gate.

Line 1 investigates and builds foundations. Line 2 carries natural talent often revealed when called. Line 3 learns through trial and error. Line 4 moves through network and bonds. Line 5 draws projections and offers solutions. Line 6 matures in three life phases toward a role-model presence.

Your profile (1/3, 4/6, and so on) is itself two lines: personality and design. Lines on other activations (Sun, Moon, Mars…) then refine every gate in your chart.
