The 36 channels in Human Design

A channel links two gates that belong to two different centers. When both gates are activated in your chart, the channel is defined: stable energy flows between those centers.

There are thirty-six channels. Each has a name and theme (leadership, intuition, abundance, and more). A defined channel colors how you consistently show up; a hanging gate (only one side) describes potential that often seeks completion in life or relationship.

Channels also decide which centers are colored, and therefore your type, definition (single, split, and so on), and part of your authority. Reading channels means reading the wiring of your bodygraph, not a random trait list.
